The Real reason why the road sunk in Thailand

I have been following the news about the massive sinkhole that suddenly appeared near Vajira Hospital in Bangkok, and it really caught my attention. From what I have gathered, the cause of the sinkhole aligns with what I had suspected all along. The construction of the new MRT Purple Line underground railway in that area, especially the damage to the tunnel ceiling and the underground work itself, created a weak point where soil started to flow in and collapse the road above.

It makes sense to me that when the soil above the tunnel structure was not properly supported, combined with the rupture of a major water pipe, this would accelerate the erosion and cause such a dangerous land subsidence. Knowing that Bangkok sits on soft, sinking soil, it was only a matter of time before such an incident could happen if precautions were not strict and thorough. I have thought that building extensive underground infrastructure in this fragile ground would be very risky without the most careful engineering and monitoring.

I also believe that the responsibility lies with the contractors and authorities managing the MRT project. They need to ensure that construction does not endanger the city's safety, especially in high-risk soil areas.

This incident clearly demonstrates the serious consequences when engineering challenges are underestimated or mishandled. Overall, this situation confirms my concerns about urban development in parts of Bangkok vulnerable to land subsidence and flooding. It is a critical reminder of how infrastructure projects must take natural conditions into full account to prevent disasters like this sinkhole.

Also to sum this up and mention one more thing. People who call other people unclean should check their own sanitation appearence before insulting others.
